Under-construction building collapses in UP; several feared trapped

Uttar Pradesh: An under-construction building at the Kannauj railway station here collapsed on Saturday, trapping approximately two dozen workers under the debris, reported PTI.
The police confirmed that six workers had been rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital. "According to preliminary information, the incident occurred when the under-construction shuttering of the roof collapsed," stated District Magistrate (DM) Shubhrant Kumar Shukla.
"Our first priority is to rescue the workers who are trapped. We are using all resources at our disposal for the rescue efforts," he said.
