Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government has removed mandatory quarantine for expats arriving for a period of stay under seven days.

Health Minister Veena George said the arrivals should, however, undergo the testing as advised by the central government.

The minister said the number of COVID cases in Kerala were expected to dip after the first week of this month.

On Tuesday, Kerala again reported in excess of 50,000 cases.
