Court staff to be questioned after documents found on Dileep’s phone

Kochi: The court staff would be questioned after crucial court documents were found on Malayalam actor Dileep's phone. A court here has stated that no special permission was required to question the staff and also directed to produce the court documents found on Dileep's phone.

The court gave the directive while considering a plea by the Crime Branch probe team that sought permission to question the staff, including the clerk, who are responsible for the mainour produced in court. The Crime Branch informed the court that documents including confidential statements, which were not given to Dileep, were found on the phone.

The probe team had received the results of the forensic tests on the phones of the accused in the conspiracy case, which pertains to the alleged conspiracy to endanger the probe officers of the 2017 actress assault case. Based on this, the team suspect that the court documents had been leaked.

In its plea to the court, the Crime Branch submitted that documents, which were not permitted to be copied, were found on Dileep's phone and it needs to be probed who all were given this.

Car still at Dileep's house

Meanwhile, the car that was seized by the police in the conspiracy case the other day was still at Dileep’s house at Aluva even on Saturday. Currently, the car is not roadworthy. It had been said that the probe team would bring in a mechanic and take the vehicle. But it is learned that Dileep has been asked to get the car repaired and hand it over to the probe team.
