Pathanamthitta: A 51-year-old pilgrim died and 21 others were injured in an accident on Erumeli-Pampa route on Wednesday. The deceased, Raju, was the driver of the vehicle. 

Raju lost control of the vehicle while descending the Kanamala Attivala road, which caused it to overturn. The vehicle was carrying 21 Andhra Pradesh natives.

The injured passengers are currently under treatment in Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Raju's body has been kept at the Pampady Taluk Hospital.
