Thrissur: A major fire broke out at a store near the Akkikkavu signal in Perumpilavu here at around 8.15 pm on Thursday. No casualties have been reported so far.

The residents alerted three fire rescue units from Kunnamkulam, which arrived at the scene. As of 10:30 pm, the fire and rescue service units are still working to douse the flames.

The fire engulfed Haritha Agri Tech, a store dealing in agricultural machinery, causing significant damage. Initial estimates suggest losses amounting to several lakhs of rupees. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
