Kollam: Two people were killed when an ambulance collided with a truck in Kottarakkara on Wednesday. The deceased are Thampy (65) and his wife Shyamala (60), residents of Ezhamkulam, Adoor.

The accident occurred on MC Road near Sadanandapuram while Thampy was being transferred from Adoor General Hospital to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

His family, including his children, were also in the ambulance at the time of the crash. The truck, which was transporting chickens, had four occupants. All those injured in the accident are undergoing treatment.
