Kozhikode: Husna Nasrin, a native of Kozhikode, has been awarded the prestigious McCracken Fellowship worth ₹1.5 crore to pursue a five-year PhD programme in Chemistry at New York University, USA. A postgraduate from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, Husna is the daughter of Police Sub-Inspector N K Navas and Hajara, a teacher at Kayakkodi Higher Secondary School.
