Vandazhi: KD Prassannan MLA inaugurated a medicinal herb farm in Alathur constituency as part of the Nira project. The project was launched by planting herbal saplings in the farm owned by AK Sreenivasan, an herbal farmer in Vandazhi. The herb farm is sprawled over 25 hectares in seven panchayats.

Vandazhi panchayat president KL Ramesh presided over the event. Oushadhi chairperson Shobana George, state medicinal plant board chief executive officer TK Hridik, Krishi assistant director KV Vineesh Kumar, Krishi officer Regin Ram, P Pradosh Kumar, Nenmara block panchayat president C Leelamani, P Shashikala, P Shashikumar, S Shakeer, Subitha Muraleedaran, P Seithali, Ramani Kesavankutti, Dr. N Miniraj, MV Rashmi, Shobana, P Mohandas and Sindumol spoke at the event.
