Dr N Asokan retires as Thrissur MCH Principal with 1.5 years of service remaining

Mulangunnathukavu: Thrissur Medical College Principal Dr N Asokan has voluntarily retired from his post. Vice Principal Dr K B Sanal Kumar has been given temporary charge as Principal.
Dr N Asokan's departure from government service comes after taking VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme), with one and a half years of service still remaining.
Dr Asokan, who has 32 years of experience in medical teaching and clinical practice, has worked in government medical colleges in Thrissur, Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, and Kozhikode.
While serving as the Head of the Dermatology Department at Thrissur Medical College, he was promoted as Principal of Kozhikode Medical College in 2023. Soon after, he returned to Thrissur as Principal.
