Kochi: A technical glitch affected several Kochi-1 Cards from 6 am on Saturday, Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) said. The agency set up manual ticket counters to ensure uninterrupted travel for cardholders.

Currently, one entry and exit gate has been opened for Kochi-1 Card users at Aluva, Muttom, Kalamassery, Pulinchodu, Companypady, Cochin University, and Maharajas stations. KMRL said its technical team is working to extend the facility to all stations by tonight.

Passengers showing Kochi-1 Cards will continue to get the usual discounts of 20% on single journey tickets and 25% and 33% on Trip Passes, KMRL said. The agency apologised for the inconvenience and assured commuters that the issue is being resolved on priority.
