Ettumanoor: A quarrel over a chicken fry order at a restaurant in Ettumanoor spiralled into a fistfight on Saturday night, leaving one man injured and hospitalised.
The incident occurred around 9.30 PM when 34-year-old Nidhin, a native of Thiruvanchoor and an employee at the Ettumanoor Industrial Estate, visited the restaurant and ordered porotta with chicken fry. He specifically asked for a chest piece, but was instead served a wing piece.

When he asked for a replacement, the hotel employee, an interstate migrant worker, allegedly responded in a condescending manner, telling him to `take it or leave it.' This led to a heated argument, which soon escalated into a physical clash.

Nidhin sustained an injury on his forehead during the assault and was later admitted to a hospital. The hotel staff involved reportedly fled the scene soon after.
Ettumanoor police said further action would follow upon receiving a formal complaint regarding the incident.
