Sulthan Bathery:  A medical student from Wayanad died in a bike accident in Belur near Bengaluru on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Don Roy (24), son of Roy Acharukudiyil, a native of Rock Valley Housing Colony, Kolagappara, near here. 

He was a final-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) student at a medical college in Belur near Mandya. Don and his friend were returning to their rented quarters after attending the farewell party for the final-year students when their bike was hit by a truck. Although the locals rushed the youngsters to the hospital, Don was declared dead on arrival. The condition of his friend is reported to be critical.

The funeral will be held at Assumption Forane Church, Sulthan Bathery, on Saturday at 4.30 pm. Don is survived by his father, Roy, his mother, Mercy, and his brother, Deon.
