Pathanamthitta: A car carrying Sabarimala pilgrims caught fire in the early hours of Thursday near Pampa Chalakkayam. The devotees, residents of Hyderabad, were travelling to the Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala for darshan.
The driver quickly evacuated the pilgrims after noticing smoke, preventing a major accident. Fire and Rescue Services personnel reached the spot and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported. Authorities are examining the cause of the fire.
