Madinah highway crash: Nine-year-old girl succumbs to injuries, death toll reaches 5

A nine-year-old girl who sustained serious injuries in a car accident in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, died on Wednesday, taking the death toll to five.
The deceased has been identified as Hadiya Fathima (9), a member of a Malappuram family. She was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of the Saudi German Hospital.
The accident occurred on Saturday at Wadi Farha on the Jeddah–Madinah highway, around 170 km from Madinah.
Hadiya’s father, Abdul Jaleel (52), mother, Thasna Thodengal (40), brother, Aadhil Jaleel (14), and Jaleel’s mother, Maimunath Kakkengal (73) died in the accident. Authorities laid their bodies to rest at Jannatul Baqi in Madinah on Wednesday.
Hadiya’s sister Aisha Jaleel (15) is undergoing treatment at King Fahd Hospital, while Noor Jaleel (7), who also suffered injuries, has been discharged after recovering.
