New Delhi: Abhishek Sharma smashed the fastest-ever T20I century by an Indian batter as India crushed Afghanistan by 127 runs in the third T20I to complete a 3-0 series sweep here on Thursday.

India posted 221/7 in 20 overs, with Abhishek smashing 108 off 34 balls and Sanju Samson contributing a 50. Afghanistan were then bowled out for 94 in 14.1 overs.

Abhishek's third T20I century, reached in just 30 balls, was the fastest by an Indian batter and the third-fastest overall in men's T20Is. It was also the quickest century by a batter from a full-member nation.

Sanju continued his fine form in the series with another half-century. It was his second fifty in three matches. He had scored 57 in the second T20I, helping India secure victory.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi were the pick of India's bowlers, taking three wickets each. Nitish finished with 3/25, while Bishnoi returned 3/26. Axar Patel chipped in with two wickets.

Ibrahim Zadran was Afghanistan's top scorer with 25. Azmatullah Omarzai and Noor Ahmad scored 17 and 11 respectively, while none of the other Afghan batters managed to reach double figures.
