Kerala boys win title in National School Football Championship

Port Blair: Kerala boys emerged champions in the National School Football (Under-17) Championship here on Friday. Kerala blanked Lakshadweep 4-0 in the final.

Vice-captain Avinash starred with a brace, while captain  Mohammed Irshad and Gadson Cherian scored one apiece.

Avinash ended as the top goal-getter with 15 strikes in the championship.

K Mansoor Ali is the coach of the Kerala team. Nine of the 18 players hail from Malappuram.
