Manchester United can hope for instant redemption after a poor campaign as they host Arsenal in the opening week of the Premier League next season.

A statement win at Old Trafford (August 17) could help United regain the confidence drained by a 15th-place finish last season.

Premier League winners Liverpool open their campaign at Anfield against Bournemouth on the opening day, August 15. Manchester City visit Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 16, while Chelsea host Crystal Palace on August 17.

Freshly promoted clubs Sunderland and Leeds United have home fixtures against West Ham United and Everton, respectively. Burnley, the third team to be promoted from the Championship, have a tough opening night at Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal will wrap up their August fixtures with a visit to Anfield on August 30 before hosting Leeds (Aug 23). The champions, meanwhile, have a tough second round away to Newcastle United before welcoming the Gunners.

Manchester City host Spurs (Aug 23) and Brighton & Hove Albion (Aug 30) to complete their set of August. Chelsea face the Hammers on August 23 and have a date with Fulham at Stamford Bridge on August 30.

The Premier League will have six teams competing in the Champions League next season. Besides the top four of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea, fifth-place Newcastle United and Europa-winners Spurs will play in the premier European competition.
