Adv Hareendran recently alleged that Indian Union Muslim League leader P K Kunhalikutty intervened in the case related to the murder of party worker Ariyil Shukoor in 2012.
The Kannur-based advocate said DySP Sukumaran contacted him unofficially for legal advice regarding Ariyil Shukoor case, in which P Jayarajan is an accused.
The allegation has sparked a fresh controversy within the United Democratic Front (UDF).
The complaint pointed out that Vaidekam resort in the Anthoor Municipality Corporation area of Kannur flouts rules and is operating without obtaining necessary permissions.
The company was registered on December 9, 2014, under the name, “Kannur Ayurvedic Medical Care Private Limited” with contractor Ramesh as managing director and Jayarajan's son P K Jaison as chairman.
As per the documents accessed by Manorama News, Indira, wife of LDF Convener EP Jayarajan, holds 12.33 per cent of the shares, worth Rs 82 lakh.
CEO Thomas Joseph claimed that Jayarajan's wife Indira and his son Jaison have shares worth Rs 10 lakh.
EP Jayarajan, who was appointed as the convener last April, might step down citing health reasons.
As per the enquiry report received by the Collector, the resort construction began with the approval from Anthoor Municipality and the soil mined from the hillock was levelled and spread at the site itself.
P Jayarajan raised allegations of financial irregularities against LDF convener EP Jayarajan at CPM's state committee meeting.
