Prajesh Sen, who co-directed the film which tracks Nambi Narayanan's journey took to Facebook to share his happiness.
The blocked YouTube channels and the Facebook account had a cumulative viewership of over 68 crore.
Rohatgi said that renewal of licence does not require security clearance and the channel has been running for 12 years.
The high court directed the Union home ministry to produce the documents including files in connection with the ban order.
