Railway authorities have launched an inquiry and are reviewing safety protocols following the incident.
The accused, Rajesh (33) from Perumpuzha and Arun (39) from Ilamballur, were identified through CCTV footage from the scene.
The Kundara police, under whose jurisdiction the location falls, then arrived and conducted a search operation.
Railway officials said the trains were identified last night and the decision will be effective from March 20 until March 31.
