V Muraleedharan has said EAM monitoring situation, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria abiding by international norms.
It was on August 8, when MT Heroic Idun was anchored on the international maritime border of Nigeria after experiencing technical issues, that the vessel was detained by Guinea Navy.
The crew members have been stopped from being handed over to Nigeria through diplomatic-level intervention. Fifteen of the crew members, including two Keralites, were shifted to a hotel.
The Norway-based ship 'M T Heroic Idun' was suspected of stealing oil.
The move is to hand them over to Nigeria, as per reports.
