Alappuzha First Class Magistrate Court II had on Thursday ordered to make Vellappally Natesan an accused in the case.
The ruling came in a plea filed by Mahesan's family.

Though Ganeshan was rescued after he jumped into the dam the first time, he later jumped again. The incident happened around 3pm on Tuesday.
However, police say the doctor who treated the victim has been questioned but has not been named an accused.
Anagha, a mother of twins, was found dead on the railway track at Vengali on October 27. Her relatives lodged a complaint with the Chelavoor police accusing her husband, Sreejesh, and his family of mentally and physically harassing her for years.
Anakha’s relatives alleged that she died following mental and physical torture by her husband Sreejesh and his family.
The deceased were Safwa (26), wife of Namkunnathu Rashid Ali, and her children Fathima Marzeeha (4) and Mariyam (1).
