Air India's deal includes 250 planes from Airbus and 220 from Boeing.
The aircraft purchase agreement was signed between the airline and Airbus at the Paris Air Show 2023.
The provisional deals include 220 planes from Boeing and 250 from Airbus. The total deal value is estimated to be worth USD 80 billion (over Rs 6.40 lakh crore).
The orders to be placed for both Airbus and Boeing are worth tens of billions of dollars.
The "pooja" for the luxury helicopter bought by RP Group chairman B Ravi Pillai at a cost of Rs.100 crore was performed at the helipad of Sree Krishna College Ground, Ariyannur near the temple town.
