Due to haphazard scheduling, many KSRTC passengers are having trouble reaching their destinations in the buses they have booked for this holiday season. Sources say this is due to a lack of enough staff to manage reallocations and cancellations. Though we reached out to the KSRTC officials, we didn't receive an official confirmation or explanation on the issue. Regardless, passengers may want to double-check with their departure depot about the long-distance buses they have booked, to avoid last-minute confusion.

Regular KSRTC commuters have reasons to cheer this Christmas! KSRTC has sanctioned modern AC superfast buses from Palakkad to Ernakulam. The new ones will replace the old AC buses running on the Kozhikode route. The buses from Palakkad to Ernakulam will operate as bypass riders.

KSRTC’s Pathanamthitta depot will get 23 additional buses to operate services to Pamba during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. The depot will also serve as the hub of the Pamba special service. Kerala’s cancer patients no longer need to worry about travel expenses for their treatment. KSRTC has issued an order allowing them to travel free of cost on all its buses — from ordinary to superfast services.
