Ten years after his passing, actor Kalabhavan Mani's daughter, Sreelakshmi, has fulfilled his lifelong dream by becoming a qualified medical practitioner, having completed her MBBS at Sree Narayana College of Medical Science and now practicing as a doctor. This significant achievement by Sreelakshmi, alongside her mother Nimmi's support and Kalabhavan Mani's brother RLV Ramakrishnan's own academic success as an assistant professor, honors the late actor's legacy, who had aspirations of building a hospital to serve the poor and always wanted his daughter to pursue a career in medicine. The family has returned to their ancestral home, Mani Koodaram, in Chalakkudy, where the late actor's memory continues to be cherished by fans and those who benefited from his generosity, with visitors still coming to his memorial to remember his kindness.
Years after its release, the filmmaker has revisited the film’s much-debated climax, a powerful stretch that earned Kalabhavan Mani a Special Jury Award at both the National and State Film Awards.
Suresh started his political career in 2010 with Mani's support.
Hayrunnisa, the wife of late Mustafa from the Kottukaran family at Chenathunadu Palayam, was regarded as a motherly figure by Kalabhavan Mani and his brothers.
As per recent reports, Mani’s only daughter Sreelakshmi is now a fourth year MBBS student at the Sree Narayana College of Medical Sciences in Ernakulam.
Originally recorded six years ago, the video features Nimmi in conversation with folk singer and writer Priya Shine.
Just recently, RLV Ramakrishnan shared a post addressing the derogatory remarks made by Kalamandalam Sathyabhama against him.
Sathyabhama's statement fueled the controversy as she said that Mohiniyattam dancers should exude enchanting qualities, implying that Ramakrishnan's appearance did not meet this standard.
For long, people, especially Kalabhavan Mani's fans had alleged that Divya Unni had insulted Kalabhavan Mani because of his dark skin and even refused to work with him in films.
There is no proof that Mani consumed meat, vegetables, or arrack from outside on that fateful day.
