A 10-member bench of the ICJ on May 18, 2017 had restrained Pakistan from executing Jadhav till adjudication of the case.
Jadhav, a retired Indian Navy officer, was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage and terrorism in April 2017.
It is believed that India will seek legal advice on its next possible step in the case which could include again approaching the ICJ on the ground that Pakistan did not comply with the tribunal's order.
Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs Anurag Srivastava said Pakistan's claim reflected its attempt to 'mask' its continuing 'reticence to implement' the judgment of the ICJ in the case in 'letter and spirit'.
Giving out the order, the IHC's larger bench, stated that a second opportunity needs to be extended to remove any doubts and ensure the requirements of a fair trial.

External affairs ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said India is in touch with Pakistan through diplomatic channels on the issue relating to Jadhav.
For four days next week, the two countries will argue their case in open court in The Hague.
Pakistan claims that its security forces arrested Jadhav from restive Balochistan province on March 3, 2016 after he reportedly entered from Iran.
India questioned the functioning of Pakistan's notorious military courts and urged the International Court of Justice to annul Kulbhushan Jadhav's death sentence.
