Actress Reshmi Soman is now a star on social media with her vlog, 'Ray's World of Colours' in which she shares her travelling experiences with fans and other netizens.
Reshmi now lives in Dubai with her husband and often sets out on trips, all of which can be enjoyed on her vlog. In short, after appearing in a number of noted films and television serials, Reshmi continues to be in the limelight on the social media too.
In a recent trip, Reshmi headed from Dubai to Oman by road. Her post with videos is indeed a good guide to the destination. Reshmi, husband and friends started from Dubai and travelled to the port city of Khasab along a picturesque road flanked by the sea and hills.
One of the main attractions at Khasab is a museum displaying remnants of the old fort there, models of ancient boats, local handicraft items and objects unearthed during archaeological excavations in the area.
Visitors can also hop on to one among the numerous boats lined up at the port for a ride in the sea. The boats also have a striking appearance. Built of wood, they resemble the houseboats seen in Dal lake in India. The boats take visitors some way off the shore so that the view of the beach and hills can be enjoyed best. Another highlight of the boat ride is the chance to observe dolphins at close quarters. With luck, travellers can experience the frolic of big herds of the friendly marine creature.
The boat which took Reshmi around was named 'Dhow Cruise'. She loved the trip. The breeze also was refreshing, says the actress. At some spots, where the waters are shallow, travellers can swim and feed fish.
UAE and Khasab have the same weather and travellers will be bowled over by the warm hospitality offered by the seaside destination, says Reshmi.

Travellers to Khasab from Dubai need to book visa online. The bookings can be done through the website of the Royal Oman police. Reshmi says that the ideal time to visit Khasab is winter.
