Mrinal's food vlogs have thousands of viewers who love his unique presentation style and his honest opinions about the food that he tastes. Currently one of the leading food vloggers in Kerala, he doesn’t shy away from tasting any dish. It is said that if Mrinal praises a restaurant or a dish, then that hotel or food would be truly incredible.
In his latest video, Mrinal visits a small eatery in Kodimatha at Kottayam, where homely meals are served. He was so impressed by the taste and flavours of the dishes that he couldn't stop lauding them. Mrinal was particularly drawn to the spicy fish curry prepared in the traditional Kottayam style. The delicious lunch including the fish dishes costs just Rs 60.
Not just the fish curry, Mrinal really liked the kakka irachi (clam) stir fry and netholi peera (anchovies in coconut) as well. A plate of special beef roast costs just Rs 50 here. Mrinal really enjoyed the beef roast which is flavoured using fresh ginger and coconut oil. He says that biting into the fried coconut shards while eating the beef roast, makes it extra special.
