Railways to run special train from Chennai to Mangaluru for Navaratri

A special train will run from Chennai Central Railway Station in Tamil Nadu today to Mangaluru, for Navaratri. The train - 06047 - will depart from Chennai Central at 11.45 pm and reach Mangaluru at 4 pm, the next day. The return train - 06048 - will leave Mangaluru at 7.30 pm on Saturday and reach Chennai at 11.20 am on Sunday. 

It will halt at Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyannur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. Meanwhile, the IRCTC is also offering Navaratri special food for travellers on select trains through the e-catering facility. The menu has satvik diet options also, which can be pre-ordered at least two hours before the journey begins, through the Food-on-Track app.
