Budget airline Akasa Air to launch international services from Kochi

Kochi: Indian low–cost airline Akasa Air is launching international flight services from Kochi. The first service has been scheduled from Kochi to Jeddah and back. There will be four services in a week in this sector. Meanwhile, the first flight is scheduled to take off on June 29. One service is scheduled each on Saturdays and Mondays, while there will be two flights on Sundays. The flights that depart at 6.10 pm on Saturday and Monday will land in Jeddah at 9.55 pm. This flight returns to Kochi at 6.45 am.
The first flight on Sundays departs at 3 am and arrives in Jeddah at 6.45 am. The return flight departs at 7:45 am and arrives in Kochi at 4.45 pm. The second flight, meanwhile, is scheduled to take off at 8.5 pm from Kochi and will land in Jeddah at 1.10 am. This flight returns to Kochi by 10.10 am. There will only be single services on June 29 and July 6. These flights depart from Kochi at 5 pm and arrive in Jeddah by 8.45 pm. The return trip is at 9.45 pm and lands back in Kochi at 6.45 am.
Two services have been scheduled on all Sundays, starting from July 13. Akasa Air will use Boeing 737 Max aircraft to run the services in this sector. The aircraft will feature 186 economy class seats.
