Trains via Kottayam to be diverted, rescheduled on Sept 20, 21: Timings, additional and skipped stops

Kottayam: Due to the ongoing work of replacing girders on the old bridge across the Kodoor River, certain trains in the Kottayam route will be diverted or rescheduled. The girder replacement is progressing at rail bridge 280 in the Chingavanam – Kottayam stretch. Here are the trains diverted via Alappuzha, along with their timings, skipped stops, and added stops.
1. Thiruvananthapuram North – Sri Ganganagar Express (16312)
Will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 3.45 pm
Will skip these stops – Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam
Will have additional stops at Alappuzha and Ernakulam Jn
2. Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Superfast (12624)
Will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 3 pm
Will skip these stops – Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam, Tripunithura
Will have additional stops at Alappuzha and Cherthala

3. Thiruvananthapuram North – SMVT Bengaluru Humsafar Express (16319)
Will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 pm
Will skip these stops – Chengannur, Tiruvalla and Kottayam
Will have additional stops at – Alappuzha, Ernakulam Junction
4. Kanniyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express (22503)
Will leave Kanniyakumari at 5.25 pm
Will skip these stops – Chengannur, Kottayam
Will have additional stops at Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction

5. Thiruvananthapuram Central – Madurai Amritha Express (16343)
Will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 8.30 pm
Will skip these stops – Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam
Will have additional stops at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam
6. Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central Express (16347)
Will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 8.55 pm
Will skip these stops – Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam and Piravom
Will have additional stops at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam Junction

Will leave from Madurai Junction at 11.35 am on Sept 20
Will be short-terminated at Kollam
2. Guruvayur – Madurai Express (16328)
The train will be partially cancelled between Guruvayur and Kollam on Sept 21
It will leave Kollam at 12.10 am

3. Nagercoil – Kottayam Express (16366)
Will leave Nagercoil Junction at 1 pm on Sept 20
The train will be short-terminated at Changanasseri
It will be partially cancelled between Changanasseri and Kottayam
4. MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express (12695)
Will leave MGR Chennai Central at 3.20 pm on Sept 19
The train will be short-terminated at Kottayam on Sept 20
It will be partially cancelled between Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram Central
5. Thiruvananthapuram Central – MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express (12696)
Will commence service from Kottayam at 8.05 pm on Sept 20 (Instead of leaving from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5.15 pm)
It will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kottayam
