The government has permitted the sale of tickets through government offices in the districts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kollam, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Kozhikode. The authorities hope to mint a revenue of at least Rs 1 crore through ticket sales. Meanwhile, this year’s Nehru Trophy Boat Race will be held on August 22. The maximum price was ₹25,000, for the premium Platinum Corner family package. There was also a 'Platinum Corner' Individual ticket that admitted one person with food and special boat transfers, for ₹10,000.
