Why CPM wants Veena to face ED probe in CMRL pay-off case

The CPM which rallied behind Pinarayi Vijayan and his daughter Veena T in the CMRL monthly pay-off scam has stated that Veena will face the probe of the Directorate of Enforcement. The move is a clear shift from the earlier stand of the party which has even put out official statements in support of Veena. The move follows a series of court orders which upheld the ED probe into the money laundering charges against the CMRL. Veena is accused of corporate fraud by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office.
