Idukki: The Government Engineering College here conducted an exhibition, titled Savishkar' 18, on Thursday. Products like automated solar-powered grass cutting machine, a robot controlled by hand gesture, voice-controlled notice board, remote weather station and electronic water controller with purity check were on display.
Almost 17 projects were on show and each one was different from the other.
Next year some extra workshops would be held so that students will have gain some practical knowledge, said Leena Mary, the Head of the Department of Electronics and communication Engineering College which organised the event.
Students and teachers from the nearby schools attended the function inaugurated by college principal Dr. Vijayan P. The Secretary of the student union Athul Das thanked the authorities who helped to make the event a success.
Sanil K Daniel was the project coordinator and Laiju P Joy was the project guide.
The expo started at 9.30 am.
