Pep talks and memorable ghazals rev up LBS students

Successful people from various walks of life addressed the students of LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod. The programme, which was organised by the College Union, was part of the event called 'Stories Unfold' being organised on the campus.

Guests engaged with students while sharing their life stories and problems they tackled in the course of their career. Various personalities who spoke included RJ Shambu and artist Fathima Hakkim.

Shibli, a visually impaired business consultant and professor, motivated the audience by sharing his life story. Avid travellers Abrar, Navaf and Adhil recalled some beautiful experience they had during their trips.

Another speaker who gave a pep talk was Mohd Hisamuddin who is the founder of Entri.Me, an online platform which helps youth in preparing for competitive exams including those held by the Public Service Commission of various states. Khader, founder of Public Kerala, and Sara Siraj, junior badminton player, also spoke.

The dignitaries also posed for photographs and chatted with students.

The talk session was followed by ‘Mehfil-E-Sama’, a live concert of ‘ghazal’ songs. Popular ghazals from Bollywood movies and others were sung. The singers asked students to suggest songs and they performed gladly their choices.

The programme was held at the Seminar Hall on March 17. Public also attended the programme which commenced in the afternoon and finally wound up around 9 pm.
