Govt begins preparations for reopening of schools

Thiruvananthapuram : Education minister V Sivankutty has said that the government has begun preparations for the reopening of schools in the state.

Sivankutty said that the officials have been directed to make necessary arrangements. He told mediapersons that the government would take further decisions complying strictly with the Supreme Court verdict.

Meanwhile, Kerala has filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court seeking permission to hold offline exams. The government has pointed out that the non availability of computer and internet facilities for many students has triggered a crisis.

The state informed the apex court that valuation cannot be carried out on the basis of model exams.
