Eyeing a career in Management or Pharmacy? Take CMAT & GPAT, registration until March 17

Those interested in a career in management and pharmacy can now apply for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), respectively.

Aspirants can register for these entrance tests conducted by the National Testing Agency (www.nta.ac.in) until 17 March. The test dates would be announced later.

1) CMAT
The CMAT score would help the aspirants secure admission to the management programmes at various business schools including the ones that have the affiliation of All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Visit the website https://cmat.nta.nic.in. for registration.

The 3-hour-long computer-based test would be held in two sessions — morning and afternoon. In Kerala exam centres are in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

The list of training centres that have the approval of NTA has been published on the website. Applicants who wish to get coaching for the test may attend one such centre.

Eligibility
The applicants should have completed graduation. Final-year graduate students whose results would be published before the commencement of the 2022-23 academic year too can apply.

There is no age bar.

If the business schools have stipulated a minimum mark guideline for the admission to MBA and PGDM programmes, then the candidates need to strictly follow it.

There would be 20 questions each from Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for a total of 100 marks.

The candidates should keep in mind that there is negative marking for wrong answers.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a latest topic that has been introduced in the syllabus.

For admission to the MBA courses in Kerala, the scores of IIM–CAT, CMAT or KMAT instituted by the Kerala government are usually considered.

2) GPAT
There would be 125 questions in the 3-hour-long computer-based test that begins at 9 am. The application procedure is almost similar to the CMAT.

Those who have passed B Pharm or final-year students whose results would be published before the commencement of the 2022-23 academic year can apply.

However, BTech graduates in Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology need not apply.

There is no age limitation.
