Students from the Thiruvananthapuram region have recorded the best pass percentage (99.68%) in Class 10. Guwahati is at the bottom of the table with 82.23% pass percentage.

Out of the 2109208 students registered, 2093978 had appeared for the exam and 1976668 of them cleared the exam. This year, CBSE will not declare merit lists for board exams to avoid "unhealthy competition" among students, says Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.

The pass percentage of girls stood at 95.21 % while 93.80% of boys cleared the exam. The pass percentage of transgender candidates is 90%.

The result is available on cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in. CBSE class 12 results were announced earlier today. It is the first time that the CBSE has announced both class 10 and 12 results on the same day.

This year, CBSE conducted exams in 2 terms. A total of 21 lakh students had appeared for the exam across the country.

The marks are announced as per 30:70 weightage criteria where 30% of marks from Term 1 and 70 % of Term 2 have been calculated.

Last year, the passing percentage of CBSE Class 10 was 99.4 percent, while it was 91.46 percent in 2020.
