NEET frisking row: NTA to hold retest on Sept 4

The National Testing Agency will another test for a few female candidates who were subjected to intrusive frisking at a venue of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) at Ayur in Kerala's Kollam district on September 4 from 2 to 4 pm.

The new test centre will be SN School, Kollam.

This opportunity is for those candidates who have raised a complaint about the controversial frisking.

As reported earlier the candidates now allowed the re-exam were forced to remove their innerwear before appearing for the medical entrance test.

The shocking incident happened at the Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology, Ayur. This exam centre has been excluded for the re-exam.

Similar complaints were raised from six exam centres across the country. Re-exams will be conducted for students of all these colleges.

The NTA has clarified that only those candidates who are interested to retake the test need to appear for it.
