NEET – PG to be held in March 2023

New Delhi: The National Entrance cum Eligibility Test – PG, the national level entrance test for admission to post graduate medical courses will be held on 5 March next year.

As per the temporary examination calendar published by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) would be conducted on 4 December this year. However, the National Exit Exam, a licensing exam for final year MBBS students wouldn’t be held this year.

The National Medical Council in its regulations have stated that this would replace the NEET PG entrance exam and the FMGE. Earlier, it was announced that the NEXT exam would be introduced in 2023.

Exam dates
DNB last practical exam (June 2022) – October / November 2022
FMGE (December 2022) – 4 December
Foreign Dental Screening Test (FDST) – 4 December
DnB final theory exam – 21, 22, 23, 24 December
NEET – MDS – 8 January 2023
Fellowship Entrance Test – 20 January
DnB final practical (December 2022) – 2023 February, March and April
NEET PG – 5 March
