CM's 'Prathibha' scheme: 1,000 degree students to receive scholarship

Thiruvananthapuram: A total of 1,000 talented final-year degree students will be extended a scholarship of Rs 1 lakh each under the Chief Minister’s ‘Prathibha’ financial assistance scheme.

Students who successfully completed their degree studies in various subjects (3/4/5 year degree courses) can apply for the scholarship through the portal www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in before March 10.

The awardees will be selected from those students who passed the final year degree examinations in the academic year 2021-22 and based on the total scores achieved in the degree-level examinations.

The students should have passed the regular degree/ equivalent course with over 75 percent marks. The percentage of total marks determined under the prescribed formula of respective universities will be the basis on which the scholarship awardees will be selected. The candidates should be a student of any colleges affiliated under the Kerala, Calicut, CUSAT, MG, Kannur, Health, Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries, NUALS, and Sanskrit varsities, besides the Technological university and Kerala Kalamandalam.

The annual income of applicants should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh. For determining eligibility, various schemes relating to one subject will be considered in total. Those students who have received the Higher Education scholarship provided by the Higher Education Council will not be considered. The Government/Aided/Autonomous/ Self Financing colleges under a University will be considered as a whole.
