New Delhi: Online applications can be submitted now for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) exams to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) from June 23.

The last date to apply is May 9. The number of vacancies is 18 for IES and 33 for ISS.

Qualification

IES: Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics. Final-year students can also apply.

ISS: Bachelor's degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree.

Age

Applicants should be between 21-30 years of age on August 1, 2023. Relaxation in the upper-age limit for eligible applicants including ex-servicemen.

One of the exam centres for the written test is in Thiruvananthapuram. The application fee is Rs 200. Women, Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and differently abled candidates are exempted from the payment of fees.
