Counselling schedule for NEET-UG qualifiers published; registration begins July 20

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the counselling schedule for candidates who have qualified in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG), 2023. Candidates may check the complete schedule at the official website www.mcc.nic.in.

The seat matrix, which shows the number of seats of various institutions included for counselling, will be updated on the official website.

The registration for the first round of admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Honours) Nursing courses will begin on July 20.

The admission to MBBS and BDS courses is on the basis of the NEET score. The counselling will be held for 15% All-India Quota (AIQ) seats in central, deemed universities, AllIndia Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and JIPMER (in Puducherry).

The MCC will also allot seats against the quota for children of people insured by the ESIC (Employees State Insurance Corporation) without any classification of states.

Seven institutes for BSc (Honours) Nursing too are part of the MCC counselling. Only the registration for Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) has to be done now. A total of 20,38,596 candidates sat for the NEET (UG) this year. It was held on May 7 across 4,097 centres
