Last date for Central scholarships extended to December 31

New Delhi: The deadline for submitting applications for the Central government’s National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the academic year 2023-24 has been extended to December 31. Initially, the last date was set for November 30.

Students from Classes 9 to 12 can submit their applications through the national scholarship portal. One lakh new scholarships have been introduced for students in the 9th standard. Students from 10th to 12th standard also have the opportunity to renew their scholarships. To qualify for the scholarship, the parent’s income should not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh per annum.

The first round of scrutiny of applications will be completed before January 15, and the second round before January 30, after which the final list will be published. For more details, visit: https://scholarships.gov.in/
