The programme offers expert training in digital, broadcast and print journalism, with the option to specialise in either English or Malayalam. Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree or be awaiting their final exam results. Strong academic credentials, a keen interest in current affairs and a flair for journalism are essential.

The course fee is ₹1.25 lakh, payable in two instalments: ₹75,000 and ₹50,000. An additional 18% GST is applicable.

In addition to classroom sessions, students will undergo practical training through field visits, interviews with eminent personalities. Based on requirement, specialised training in reporting, editing, language skills, speed writing, anchoring, videography and digital journalism too will be given. The curriculum also includes newspaper production, documentary making and studio-based programmes. Modules on mobile journalism, social media strategies and international affairs are also part of the course.

An online entrance test will be conducted in both English and Malayalam on June 8, assessing candidates on general knowledge and language proficiency. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview on June 18, 19 or 20 for final selection.
