Actor Manju Pillai’s daughter Daya Sujith has weighed in on the online backlash surrounding Vaazha 3, calling out anonymous trolling and raising concerns about the nature of digital criticism.
In a recent response, Daya addressed the wave of reactions that followed the announcement of the film, noting that much of the negativity appears to be coming from accounts without real identities. She described the trend as unsettling, pointing to the lack of accountability behind such comments.

Referring to the film’s growing traction online, Daya joked that since Vaazha 3 is already trending in Kerala, she “might as well go a bit viral too.” She then went on to speak about what she sees as a broader concern in the way the film is being discussed online.

According to her, the recently unveiled poster seems to have triggered a section of male viewers. While she acknowledged that not all responses have been negative and that some users have expressed support, she observed that a particular group appeared affected. She suggested that such strong reactions could stem from personal experiences, but emphasised that the anonymity of these responses remains her primary concern.

Daya also questioned how individuals who express themselves aggressively online might behave in real-world settings. Calling out the confidence with which some users post from faceless accounts, she added a note of sarcasm, suggesting they could channel that energy into helping at home, even if it is through simple household tasks.

The controversy comes at a time when Vaazha 3 is beginning to take shape. Director Vipin Das announced the third instalment while Vaazha 2 continues its steady run in theatres across Kerala. Unlike the earlier films, which centred on the lives of boys, the upcoming chapter is expected to shift focus to female narratives.

Titled Vaazha 3: Biopic of a Billion Girls, the film marks a significant thematic turn for the franchise. However, this change has sparked divided reactions online, with some users questioning the direction of the series. Comments predicting the downfall of the franchise and labelling the film a misstep have been widely circulated on social media platforms.
