Longkong is a fruit-bearing tree, which is mostly cultivated in the south-east Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. It is also known as langsat. The variety with large fruits is also known as duku in the Indonesian language.

The longkong fruits are a rich source of Vitamin A, Thiamine and riboflavin. Similar to grapefruit, the longkong fruit has a mix of sweet and sour tastes. These yellow-coloured fruits are seen in bunches, hanging down from the branches or the stem. As the seed has a bitter taste, avoid biting on it while consuming the fruit.

Longkong is a species of tree in the mahogany family. The tree starts bearing fruits by the fourth year and will ensure long-term yield.
