1 tsp coriander powder
1 ½ tsp chilli powder
¾ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp pepper powder (optional)
Salt coconut oil
Curry leaves

Preparation
Wash the mushrooms and soak them in turmeric water for 5 minutes
Drain them and then cut into four pieces
Heat coconut oil in a pan and sauté ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves
Add onion and sauté well
Now add chilli powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder and garam masala
Sauté on low flame until the raw smell of the powders is gone
Cook for 5 minutes with the lid on
Note: There is no need to add water while cooking mushroom masala as water would ooze out of the mushrooms. Always cook them on low flame. The slimy texture of the mushroom can be avoided if the outer skin on it is removed. Add ¼ tsp pepper powder if you like the mushroom masala spicy.
