'Kondattam mulagu' or 'thairu mulagu' or salted curd chilli has bags of flavour and tastes amazing with rice. Here is a simple recipe of curd chilli chutney which is spicy, salty, and bit sour.

Ingredients
7 salted curd chillies (mulagu)
15 shallots
¾ cup grated coconut
Bunch of curry leaves
Lime-sized ball of tamarind

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and fry the salted curd chillies
Keep it aside
Sauté the shallots in the same oil and add curry leaves
After this has cooled down, add it into a blender along with coconut, tamarind, and fried curd chillies
Grind well.

Notes
The chutney could be ground by adding oil in which the chillies were fried. Do not add water.
