Pulissery is the perfect curry to be relished for Onasadya. One might be used to making the usual pulissery but here's a recipe used with mango. The sweet and sour curry with mangoes and curd makes the mambazha pulissery perfect for lunch.
½ cup grated coconut
2 tsp mustard seeds
2 green chillies
Curry leaves as needed
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup curd
1 tsp jeera
Salt as needed
Cut the mango into small pieces.
Cook mango along with green chillies, chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Meanwhile, blend the grated coconut and some jeera in a mixer.
Once the mango is cooked, pour the coconut mixture into it.
Add curd into this and mix well.
Switch off the stove before it starts boiling.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves into it.
Add this mixture into the mango pulissery.
Add salt to taste.
